HAPPY CHILD, HAPPY SOCIETY

They always say children are the future of tomorrow that children serve as a keel to every existence that without children there would be no voyage into the future.

When children are borne, they come with relieve and with a warm welcome tucking in a baby language saying thank you.

Before I proceed I would like to sip my coconut fruit drink because believe me this coconut fruit drink in Lagos coastal beach must not go to waste.

Whether you find yourself being rich or finding you self being poor, everyone wishes to have kids not just for reproduction but for a continuity of a life well spent on earth.

According to the holy book, we were instructed by God to go into the world to reproduce and this also goes way back to the days of Noah.  So if reproduction was not important we would not be given instructions to reproduce and of which African’s have become expert in reproduction processes, but the question now remains on what conditions are this children been placed? Are the environments friendly for their well being?

According to Kristen Michaelis in one of her articles ‘YOUR CHILDREN’S FUTURE SUCCESSES MAY DEPEND ON BIRTH SPACING’, in this her particular article she made people to understand why they really need to space their children, that proper birth spacing can affect not only the health of a child but also that of the mother, that women are not designed to have babies in very close succession, that recommended birth spacing should be 2-3 years.

But if only African baby reproduction parent can implement this to their baby reproduction system, this would not just safe a great purpose to health challenges but this would help welcome the less privilege children to a friendlier environment and this would also help parent replace empty basic facilities.

If you would reduce the tempo of every noise the world is producing and reason with me on this, you would see why Africans need to introduce birth control polices because Africans have so many empty hole to fill, with the Ebola outbreak in some part of west Africa, starvation of food in east and central Africa and also with the mothers and newborns dying in Tanzania from a result of lack of sanitation, safe water and personal hygiene while giving birth.

It weakens me to hear story like ‘MOTHER OF SEVEN CHILDREN STILL FINDING HER SELF PREGNANT’ and also complaining about challenges of life.

Don’t get me wrong, am not saying that Africans parents should stop having babies but if only we can adopt more of the family planning system and also implement birth control polices to the way we have children.

Who knows, we may live in a better conducive environment and our children would not fall victim to various health related diseases and economy slavery. Reason being we would have prepared a warmer welcome for their arrival, because a happy child is what every society needs.

Just food for thought.

Sacred Water: myths or reality?..Volume ONE

When I was growing up as a kid, I always had that believed that the ocean was a boundary between us humans and some unknown living alien. As I grew older I began to change, seeing water for its uniqueness and how it's been used for various purposes.
As you begin to read, I hope you are with a glass of water to stabilize the body system of yours because trust me you will not regret reading to the very end.
On one faithful day in November 2013, I was in my living room watching the evening news as usual, one of the headlines was about a mysterious lake in Enugu state of Nigeria, that Nigerian pilgrims were trooping to this mysterious lake at Nauchi in Enugu state with a very strange belief that this lakes muddy water had miracle healing powers that can cure their ailments and solve all their socio-economic woes. After some days, I also read some corresponding report about this same lake; explaining how the lake was turning out to be an eye sore, that those who are bathing in the water had become an open sewer and are more likely to leave the area sicker than the way they arrived.
From that very day I began a quest for knowledge, a revelling fascinating trail to reveal the spiritual symbol to water and I also got to understand what and what a sacred water place should look like, that sacred water environment must have peace, shade, rock, trees, fruits, water flowing from a mysterious source and sacred water can also become healing water.
On this quest I ran into an interesting book titled a treasure of great spiritual stories; spirituality in everyday living by Dr Sukhraj Dhillon. In this book I read a story about Alexander in search of sacred water, a story I would love to share with every reader:

“There’s a legend that Alexander was in search of sacred water that could make people immortal. The legend goes that search for sacred water was more important to him than victory over the whole world. And the story continues that he finally found that place in which there was a fountain of sacred water. Alexander was overwhelmed to find sacred water for which he devoted his entire life. He walked into the cave and moved closer to the fountain of water to drink so that he would never die.
As he moved to take some water, he heard a crow shouting at him, “stop! Stop! Don’t make this mistake.” Alexander looked at the crow, which was in bad shape. The crow’s feathers were almost gone and its eyes could hardly open. It was in such a pitiful condition that one could hardly recognize if it was a crow. Alexander asked, “Why are you stopping me? And who are you to stop me, anyhow!”
Crow cried, “Please listen to my story. I was in search of this sacred water too. I found this place and drink this water. Now I can’t die. Look at me carefully, and then you can do whatever you decide. If you still want to go ahead, it’s your decision and drink the sacred water.
Alexander stopped for a while and thought carefully. And then he walked away out of the cave. He didn’t drink the sacred water which could have made him immortal.”

We all want to live, no one really wants to die; forgetting that death itself is a gift to life. In the world of today that people are always looking for an easy way out not giving a rethink of every action and what might be the outcome of every repercussion.
There is always a saying that “when something looks really simple, then you should approach it with caution, particularly if you have never done it before”
Alexander would have preferred living forever but he didn’t; he only peacefully walked out of that cave because he gave his future with such immortal power a rethink.
Don’t get me wrong. Healing water might exist according to beliefs, myths and culture but living a healthy life is a natural cheat, staying health and drinking healthy who knows you may out live your expectations.
    Just food for thought.
